Admission Process

We are thrilled you are wanting the best education for your child!

 

By completing these few easy steps, you are on your way to becoming a Cardinal Did you know that NOW All Ohio families are eligible to apply for state tuition scholarships, no matter their income or the district they reside!

 

The steps are listed below.

 

1. Apply to Cardinal Stritch: Begin your application here!

 

2. Supportive Documents: Email the following items to [email protected] or deliver copies to the main office.

 

  • most recent report card
  • standardized test scores
  • all attendance/discipline records from current school
  • IEP or 504 Plan (if applicable)
 
3. Schedule to be a Cardinal for a Day and a private tour: Contact us to schedule to spend the day with us as a Cardinal. While here we will also guide you and your family on a private tour to see our campus, gym, classrooms, chapel, and more. ONCE ACCEPTED!
 
1. Click here begin your application for state tuition scholarships! Don't forget we offer Help Nights for all families to join us at Cardinal Stritch where our team will help you complete and load documents to the Ohio Department of Education's EdChoice portal.
 
2. Submit your student deposit.
 
3. Establish payment plan or make tuition payment with our finance team
 
4. Get ready for your new life as a Cardinal family!
 

IMPORTANT ADMISSIONS DATES TO MARK ON YOUR CALENDAR 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR

 

Monday, January 8                         2024-2025 School Year Registration Opens (ALL NEW FAMILIES MUST APPLY) 

Once you apply, you’ll receive notification on “next steps” for registration.

Friday, January 26                          Incoming 9th Grade Acceptance Letters Mailed Home

Monday, February 5                        Apply for the 2024-2025 State Scholarship EdChoice Traditional / Expansion

 

Monday, February 5                        All new families register at the Ohio Department of Education Parent Portal.

The parent portal will verify income to ensure Ohio EdChoice scholarship is properly awarded. This will also help with financial aid from Cardinal Stritch. Contact Mrs. Sue Laytart with any questions at [email protected].

 

Thursday, February 15                    EdChoice Help Nights 

If you need assistance uploading your EdChoice paperwork to the state EdChoice Parent Portal we will be on campus in the media center from 3:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. to answer any questions. We can also collect any paperwork at this time.

 

Friday, February 23                         2024-2025 Financial Aid, Grant, & Scholarship Applications Due

If you receive Ohio EdChoice and you believe you qualify for additional assistance to cover remaining tuition balance, you must also complete the Ohio State Parent Portal to verify financial need. In addition, any family who does not qualify for funding through the state MUST complete the 2024-25 Financial Aid, Grant, & Scholarship form to be eligible through Cardinal Stritch. Sunday, March 3                      Open House for Grades Preschool-12                  

This is your opportunity to help us grow the Cardinal Family by inviting your friends and family to come learn all about us from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. If you refer a friend or family member you could receive a $250.00 tuition credit.

 

Friday, March 8                               Transitional Informational / EdChoice Meetings                 

While you are on campus for parent teacher conferences, stop by the chapel to talk admissions from 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. about what it looks like transitioning to the next academic level. We can answer questions about uniforms, lunchroom, classes, etc. This will be especially helpful for students preschool to kindergarten, 4th to 5th, 6th to 7th, and 8th to 9th. 

 

Friday, March 15                             Bring Your Friend to School Day

Oregon City Schools are not in session, Bring your friend to school for a pizza lunch and pep rally! 5&6; limited to 15 visiting friends, 7-12 grade; limited to 25 visiting friends. All visiting students MUST complete registration online by 3/12/24!

 

Wednesday, March 21                    HSPT Prep 

Non- Catholic school students who are entering 9th grade are required to take a High School Placement Test, to help determine classes for high school and scholarship eligibility. This test prep is offered form 6 - 7:30 p.m. registration online is required. 

 

Monday, March 25                          Bring Your Friend to School Day

Northwood, Genoa, and Rossford Schools are not in session, bring your friend to school for a pizza lunch! 5&6; limited to 15 visiting friends, 7-12 grade; limited to 25 visiting friends. All visiting students MUST complete registration online by 3/21/24!

 

Friday, March 29                             Student Deposit Fee Due 

This mandatory $250.00 non-refundable deposit will secure your child's spot for the 2024-2025 school year. Some classes operate on a waiting list and fill up quickly.

 

Friday, March 29                             Catholic Parishioner Verification Forms Due

If you are applying for the Catholic Parishioner grant, your verification form must be signed by your priest and submitted. This can be found on our website at cardinalstritch.org/registration. This grant is only applied to tuition and can not be used on the student deposit and composite fee.

Thursday, April 10                          HSPT Prep

Saturday, April 13                           HSPT Test

The High School Placement Test is required for all students entering the 9th grade. It helps determine classes for high school, as well as scholarship eligibility. The HSPT starts at 8 a.m. and finishes at 12 p.m. registration online is required.

Wednesday, May 8                          Switch to Stritch Cookout

Interested in attending Cardinal Stritch? Have more questions? Attend the Switch to Stritch cookout! If you need assistance applying to Cardinal Stritch, uploading your EdChoice paperwork to the state EdChoice Parent Portal we will be on campus from 3 p.m. -7:00 p.m. to answer any questions. We can also collect any paperwork at this time, as well as give private/small group tours! While you’re on campus, feel free to enjoy a cookout, music, and face paint. 

 

Friday, May 24                                 All Tuition Payment Plans Due OR Pay Tuition in Full Due
