Ways to Give
Cardinal Family Fund
The Cardinal Family Fund focuses on the greatest area of need for the school. Your gift, no matter the size, allows us to continue to take every measure to ensure the safety of our students, impacts our ability to employ the best faculty and staff, and helps to fund necessary updates/upgrades to our original 1961 building. Your donation can help us achieve our goals.
Scholarships
We strive to be the most affordable Catholic education in Northwest Ohio, but the financial strain of tuition can create a challenge for some families. We believe that every child, regardless of family finances, should have the opportunity to attend Cardinal Stritch. Without the support of scholarships, a Cardinal Stritch education would not be possible for many of our students and families.
Will and Bequests
Name Cardinal Stritch Catholic High School & Academy as a beneficiary of assets. Contact you legal advisor to make the necessary adjustments.
Retirement, Investment, Bank Account, or Life Insurance Policy Beneficiary Designation
Contact your retirement plan custodian to designate your future gift. Complete a beneficiary designation form provided by your retirement plan custodian and forward to Cardinal Stritch.
Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) Tax Credit
A Scholarship Granting Organization (SGO) is a 501(c)(3) organization that receives donations and then grants scholarships to eligible students in the State of Ohio. Donors that contribute to Cardinal Stritch Catholic High School & Academy through our partners at Every Child Every Family receive a tax credit on their Ohio Income Tax.
Any donation above your Ohio tax liability may be taken as a deduction on your federal tax return. Remember, a credit is a dollar-for-dollar amount that reduces taxes owed to the State of Ohio, compared to a tax deduction which reduces a taxpayer’s overall taxable income. See the SGO tab for more information
Memorial Gifts
A donation made in memory of a classmate or loved one who passed away is a heartfelt way to honor them. Your memorial donation, in support of the mission of Cardinal Stritch Catholic High School & Academy, helps create a lasting impact. Cardinal Stritch will contact the family of the individual for whom a memory donation was made.
IRA Charitable Rollover
For those donors who have traditional IRA accounts, age 70 ½ and older, may direct funds from an IRA to Cardinal Stritch (up to $100,000, without any recognition of taxable income by the donor). Consult your IRA custodian on how to make an IRA rollover gift to Cardinal Stritch (501C3) and information on required minimum distributions.
