Transportation

Bus Riders

All students board buses at the main entrance of the school. Academy students who ride a bus are escorted to the main entrance by an adult supervisor. Students are supervised until all students have boarded the buses and the buses have departed.

Toledo Public School

Students’ transportation will not carry over into the new school year.  All students are made inactive in June 2026 or after the last calendar school day.  Students will then only become active again once a new transportation request has been submitted. By Ohio law, any student who rides a school bus must have a completed emergency contact form with a parent’s signature on file with us to receive transportation.  A copy of the TPS Transportation Request and Emergency Contact Form for Charter and Non-Public Schools  can be found on the TPS website under Transportation Services (Parochial and Charter Schools).  These forms should either be emailed to transportationrequest@tps.org, faxed to (419) 671-8553, or delivered to TPS’s Transportation Department at 5600 Hill Ave, Toledo, Ohio, 43615.

Alongside the paper requests, this year TPS will be implementing a Google Doc submission for TPS Charter and Non-Public School requests.  This will allow parents who do not have access to the physical form an alternative way to submit requests online.   The following link is the google doc request form that is accessible through TPS’s website under Departments=>Transportation Services=>Parochial and Charter Schools.  Transportation Request for Charter/Non Public

Due to the high volume of requests submitted over the last two years, Trinity Transportation adopted a HUB transfer system, similar to what TPS does, from a standard routing system.  This has allowed us to have widespread coverage of the city, reach full capacity on our buses, and pick up students in a timely manner.

All requests for transportation through TPS are processed in the order received and on first come first serve basis.  We transport for 35+ Parochial and Charter school for TPS, with a set number of routes and capacity on each bus. The critical deadline for submission of request forms for the 2026-2027 school year is April 1st, 2026.  Any requests received after this deadline, will be processed, but could result in delays or challenges surrounding capacity.  The best way to ensure your student is provided with the transportation needed for the 2026-2027 school year is by submitting the requests as early as possible.

Transportation requests must be sent to Toledo Public School Transportation Department. All requests are process by TPS’s routing department before being directed to Trinity’s Routing Department.  We cannot process a request sent to Trinity directly from any school and doing so will cause a delay in the transportation process. Please note that processing may take up to 14 days.  Attached you will find a copy of the TPS school bus rules and a copy of Trinity Transportation’s bus rules.  We encourage schools to include the attachments in their reenrollment packets.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Toledo Public School Transportation at (419) 671-8541 or Trinity Transportation Routing Department at 419-476-3333 ext. 102 or toledorouting@trinitytransportation.com.

Please also remember that through TPS only the primary address may be used for drop off and pick up.  We do not transport to or from daycares and only one address can be used for both pick up and drop off.
