Reunion Information

The Advancement Office at Cardinal Stritch is happy, and excited, to work with you and your classmates on your reunion! Our assistance includes, but is not limited to, the following:

We will:

  • Provide the reunion committee with a class roster. Confidentiality of information is a must and no information is to be shared or sold.
  • Review and sign your vendor contracts (venue, caterer, etc.) if applicable. Bonus! As a 501c(3) holder, we are tax-exempt.
  • Prepare and mail (via USPS) and email, a reunion flyer to the class. If you have a Facebook group created we can include that information in the invitation.
  • Provide the ability to register online via the school website and include all details of the reunion our the website as well.
  • Collect and record all reservations. This makes planning the reunion so much easier on the committee and benefits the school with maintaining the most up-to-date data on our alumni.
  • Pay monies due (vendor, caterer, etc.) upon receipt of an invoice, providing that there are (or will be in the case of deposits) sufficient funds collected from the class reservations.
  • Pay any miscellaneous expenses or reimbursements due when submitted with proof of payment, provided that there are sufficient funds collected from the class reservations.

This is what we request from you:

  • Create a realistic budget prior to publicly announcing the event details, ensuring that sufficient funds will be collected to cover all expenses.
  • It is highly recommended and proven to be very successful for the committee to reach out and personally touch base with your classmates, via phone/email/social media. Reunion attendance has increased dramatically in recent years due to this.
  • Send us classmate updates (address, phone, email, marital status, etc.) as you discover them. We like to keep the database as current as possible and prefer to continually update records rather than wait until the reunion is over.
  • Feel free to include contact information in your Facebook posts (Barbara (Boyle) Dianda ’79, Donor Relations & Database Manager, bdianda@cardinalstritch.org) if anyone has any questions or wants to update their information directly through Stritch.
  • Keep decorations easy. For example, if you decide to invest in centerpieces, “who” will keep/store them in their possession until the next reunion? Cardinal Stritch does not have the ability to store items.
  • We ask that one person be the contact person and the coordinator of any miscellaneous expenses paid out of pocket by the committee. Since there are quite a few reunions every year it is easier to have just one contact per reunion. Per our finance office – the requests for reimbursement must be accompanied by a paid receipt or invoice, submitted within seven (7)-business days of the reunion and expect a seven (7-14) business day turnaround time.
  • If excess funds remain after all expenses have been paid, they can be donated to the school from the class as a whole or remain in the reunion account. Please note that all reunion monies are kept in one account and not kept in separate accounts “per class” for future reunions.
