Annual Cardinal Classic Golf Outing
The 2026 Cardinal Classic, held Saturday, August 8, at Eagle’s Landing Golf Club, was fantastic!
After a welcome from Bill Berry, President/Head of School, and a prayer and blessing from Father Scott Woods, the outing officially started with an 8:00 am shotgun start.
We are thrilled to be able to share that 40% of the golfers in the Classic were
alumni and 50% of this year’s sponsors were also alumni!
The golfers enjoyed a hot dog at the turn, courtesy of Lee Williams House of Meats and a delicious lunch complete with chicken, potato, and macaroni salads, coleslaw, dinner rolls, and cookies, graciously provided by Meijer- Oregon #116.
Three out of the last four golf outings, Captain Ed Kolanko and his team, who this year included Tom Giles ’84, Don Poulson, and Joe Sexton, have one First Place!
Second Place went to 2003 Stritch Golf Team members Alex Thanasiu ’03, Doug DeSloover ’03, Alan Rupp ’03, and Jake Sheahan ’03.
Other prizes awarded went to: Kyle Wasserman with the Longest Drive, Jennifer Brubaker Nowacki ’85 with the Longest Drive, and Jake Hauenstein with Closest to the Pin. 50/50 winner Vincent Procaccini ’82 donated his winnings back to the school!
Mark your calendars now for the 2027 Cardinal Classic to be held on Saturday, August 14, 2027, at Eagle’s Landing Golf Club, starting with an 8:00 am shotgun start!
We would like to say thank you again to all of our sponsors of this event!
