EdChoice Traditional Scholarship / EdChoice Expansion Scholarship

Cardinal Stritch Catholic High School & Academy is pleased to acccept both of the State of Ohio’s EdChoice Traditional Scholarship and EdChoice Expansion Scholarship. The first is EdChoice Traditional Scholarship is based on the school district you reside. If your public school district is failing, you are automatically eligible for a EdChoice Traditional Scholaship.

The EdChoice Expansion Scholarship is now offered to ALL OHIO FAMILIES! NO MATTER WHAT DISTRICT. NO MATTER WHAT INCOME. This opportunity ensures that every family can choose the school that best meets their needs and with this expansion of EdChoice Scholarships, Ohio became the nation’s leader in school choice.

The approval of the EdChoice Expansion Scholarship NOW ALLOWS ELIGIBILITY TO ALL Ohio students!

Families who live in Ohio and have a household adjusted gross income is at or below 450% Federal Poverty Level (FPL) (approximately $144,675 per year, for a family of four) will be eligible for an EdChoice Expansion Scholarship of $6,166 for grades K-8 and $8,408 for grades 9-12. Students whose family’s household adjusted gross income is at 451% FPL or higher will receive a scholarship based on a sliding scale.

Once you have applied and been accepted by Cardinal Stritch, begin your state scholarship (traditional or expansion) application here:

  1. Complete the EdChoice Scholarship Request Form: Complete one (separate) application for each eligible student
  2. Return the completed, signed request EdChoice Scholarship Request form to Cardinal Stritch. Include the following with your application:

     a) Student’s Birth Certificate

     b) Proof of Residence (Utility bill – gas, water, electric) or lease agreement documentation must be in the parent/guardian’s name. Visit the ODE website for other accepted forms of residency documents.

3. Create your Ohio ID account and set up parent profile to upload your proof of income (W2, current tax return, or last four (4) current pay stubs.
